  • Thursday, July 29, 2010 – Scrabble Night by the Friends 
of the Glennwanis – Registration begins at 6:15 pm in the STC Technology 
Building on the Southeastern Tech Campus on Bolton Street.  The cost is $10.00 for 
adults and $5.00 for juniors.   They have great door prizes and terrific fellowship.  
Refreshments are available for sale.  Remember all proceeds go towards the 
restoration of the hotel.


 • Saturday, July 31, 2010 – The People Empowerment 
Association will be hosting its 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon starting at 9:00 am.  
For this event we are requesting for volunteer entertainment such as choirs, youth 
choirs, singers, rappers, praise dancers, dancers, step teams, poetry or any other 
talent you would like to present.  If you would like to participate, please respond by

 • Friday, August 6, 2010 – Great Tattnall Chamber of 
Commerce’s 7Th Annual Health & Information Fair – The event will be held at 
Tattnall County High School in the commons area from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Door 
prizes will be given as well as a drawing for a $150 shopping spree at one of the

 • Saturday, August 7, 2010 – “Christmas In 
August” – Fundraiser sponsored by The Doctors Hospital of Tattnall’s auxiliary 
at the United Methodist Church of Reidsville.  The auction will begin at 6:00 pm but 
items will be available for viewing from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm.  Wayne Dasher will be 
the auctioneer!


 • Saturday, August 14, 2010 – The 5th Annual Wiregrass 
Festival Golf Tournament will be held at Brazell Creek Golf Course located on
